A program to easily create and edit color matrices.
At last…
For a long time, creating custom color transformations to use with NegativeScreen was only possible for advanced users.
With this utility, I hope more people will be able to create their own.
Just play with the tool, and see what happens!

Awesome tool, but how do I apply this to the Windows (10) screen? The result matrix copy to clipboard and then what?

Thanks for your quick reply, it works like a charm.
With F.lux you can only get Negative Red (darkroom mode) and with colormatrix I loaded Negative Red and copied values from R to G or B column to create Negative Green and Negative Blue.
Unlimited possibilities, very cool software (for free)!!!

White to green, black to white.
For my eyes ideal for reading of black texts on white background.

I created it using your great software.
Could the picture be switchable to the transparent blank?
Then we could be able to set the colors directly for the content behind the program window.

Hi I see a great potential in those programs of yours. My eyes are fragile so Im always looking to dim screen colors. However there are some stubborn developers which fix their apps colors to white (ie skype) and this burns my eyes so Im wondering is it possible to create a matrix which leaves dark colors dark but dims brights?
I dont have time presently to study the matrix transformations in manual but I hope that for some of your that might be just a simple thing.

I'm afraid it's impossible to selectively dim colors based solely on their brightness with a color matrix.
NegativeScreen (did you try it out?) inverts everything while keeping hues, so that the often white/bright pages or applications are more bearable, but I don't think you can have the proper hue along with a sufficient contrast while dimming only the bright colors.
Feel free to fiddle with the color matrix viewer to see if you can achieve some compromise you are comfortable with...
I'm having trouble finding previous updates. The latest will not work on my Vista. Where can I find those?
There is no previous version of the ColorMatrix Viewer. Are you talking about NegativeScreen maybe? If so, use the legacy version.
After a downloading certain updates (thus I can't tell which component exactly is affected) the error had gone.

Nice tool! But I can't start it. On Win7x64 it tolds me:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)
I tend to say its an x86-x64 related issue. Can you provide a x64 build, please?
